It's Halloween-
A night when we love to scream.
Dressed in costumes, pretending to be-
A character living out a fantasy.
Chanting rhymes from days of old-
Walking door to door, in the cold.
Swinging bags full of treats-
While racing up and down the streets.
Ghosts are swinging in the trees-
Curdling screams, float in the breeze.
Witches flying on their brooms-
While goblins screech from room to room.
Bobbing for apples in a tub-
Listening to branches on the rooftops rub.
Bats flying in the shadows-
Eating skeletons made of marshmellows.
Phony graves in all the yards-
While people play beneath the stars.
Hollering, "Trick-or-Treat, " far and near-
Halloween comes but once a year.
