Moonlight glistening on the water's ripples
While canoeing in breezes that tickle.
Owls hooting in the background
While the moon above is eerily round.
Around the woods, the fog stands still
Making this scene somehow surreal.
Giving a mystical feeling-
Which sends your heart reeling.
Enjoying each stroke of the paddle, dipping
The skies are clear, the stars hiding.
Listening to birds squaking in their nest
Watching bats fly with the rest.
Enjoying the sounds of nature all around
The earthy smells coming from the ground.
Sounds of the rippling water, I hear
A soothing sound in my ear.
Relaxing under the moonlight
Enjoying this delightful night.
While God sings me a lullaby
Under this mystical moon in the skies.
