Hiding Issues

Hiding issues in the shadows
Pretending not to feel sallow.
Keeping your chin up
Even though, you feel like throwing up.
Frazzled beyond compare-
But never showing your despair
Too proud to show defeat
Letting fear buckle under your feet.
Night after night, losing sleep
Tossing, turning, listening to your heartbeat.
Sometimes answers arrive in slumber
Sometimes, with a nice long saunter.
Just clear your mind of everything
You'll be surprised what answers that will bring.
Hiding problems only cause ulcers
So take a load off, share with others.
Sharing problems with someone
Releases the burden you've carried alone.
Even whispering a silent prayer
Can erase the deadliest nightmare.
