Expect Nothing Back

You're my window to the world-
One I wish to keep and hold.
To liven me up, when I'm down-
Erasing the smirks and frowns.
Making me realize-
How precious some people are in life.
Just when you feel like giving up-
Someone's there to fill your cup.
It doesn't matter how or why-
It only matters that they try.
Giving only an ounce of love-
So rare, as if never heard of.
Having a heart is not a sin-
Being heartless, is where the sin begins.
To never open up your heart-
Will make you falter from the start.
Life is all about giving-
Not just taking or receiving.
Only the special ones know to share-
Expecting nothing back, because they truly care.
