A walk which ends in flight
by Phoenix Heart
Age Group: Adult
I have so much on my mind
So much to leave behind
Are there others of my kind
Others I can find
I walk along a path
Filled with anxiety and wrath
Leaving what I knew from my past
An understanding I haven't grasped
I pass beautiful flowers and trees
Making me collapse onto my knees
I pray the deities I can please
Their gift of knowledge I have received
I raise my head up to the skies
I see Her glow with my own eyes
Her love never in disguise
Tears fill my eyes and I cry
I know I'll never be alone
My skills I still must hone
Soon, others I will find
Just by searching within my mind
Lady, thank you for my gifts
I'm gracious for this long list
Thus, I send to you a loving kiss
And enjoy the woods in bliss
The night sky sparkles bright
Much to my delight
My circle cast in glowing light
Like a bird I begin my flight
Author's Notes: Transitional time in my life. Releasing religion of my yourth and beginning a new journey.
Followed by religious presecution at work which is on going but I have been made stronger by it all.
