Special Valentine's Day

It was on Valentine's Day-
I gave my heart completely away.
At a church Sweetheart Banquet, we met-
Nervous, shaky, heart beating fast we sat.
Feeling like strangers, even though we weren't-
Just too much for us to learn!
Anxious to find the words to say-
How you completed me in every way.
Adoring the looks you sent-
Understanding unspoken words you meant.
Holding hands under the table, innocently-
Meant the world to you and me.
Dancing the first slow dance together-
Wanting this moment to last forever.
Never wanting this night to end-
Savoring this new feeling, meant to begin.
Valentine's Day remains special in my heart-
This day was when my love sprouted.
I'll always surround you with Love-
And send you Blessings from above!
