Margaritas filled to the brim-
Glasses trimmed with salt around the rims.
Bowls full of fresh corn chips-
And bowls filled with hot salsa dip.
Guacamole that's such a dream-
Menudo served so hot, it'll make you scream.
Plates full of enchiladas, beans, and rice-
The aroma is , Oh so nice.
Music playing loud and clear-
The Mariachi Band is rocking near.
People are swaying and dancing-
While others feast with Margaritas relaxing.
Others sing along to the band-
Clapping and smiling from where they stand.
They've all come to celebrate Mexico's freedom-
Remembering the long battle with the French Kingdom.
Taking on the culture from another country-
They starve for honor, but stay hungry.
Many plan this event a year ahead-
It's important to them to honor the dead.
