O' Sacred Mother, O' Sacred Father

See the tree tops sway
Gaze down at the bay
Feel the presence of our mother
The energies of our sister and brother
The river flows
The land always shows
The times they’ve seen,
The history of what’s been
O’ sacred Mother sing your song
And we shall listen
As we’ve done for so long
Father, mother, brother, sister
Dancing to the beating drum
Spinning together like a twister
Singing to the elemental hum
O’ sacred father, Guardian of all things
Walking amongst the trees,
Tell your stories, share your dreams,
Send it to us amongst the breeze.
Mother, father, sister, brother
Walking through the misty wood
Chanting together by the river,
Where the old oak stood.
Can you hear them calling?
The voices in the wind?
Listen to them calling,
They’ll take you for a spin.
They are always there,
They never go away.
Watching you with loving care,
As we dance and sway.
O' Sacred Mother,
O' Sacred Father;
sing your songs...
tell your stories...
we will be here listening
as we've done for so long.
Author's Notes: At first this was going to be a song but i realized i'm better with poetry...i hope you guys like this, and i couldn't really come up with a name so i just went with the first thing that came to mind. I hope you like it ^_^
