I Am Not.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
I am not alone. I am not afraid.
The water does not pull me under; it
lifts me up and washes me down.
I am not alone. I am not afraid.
The Great Spirit tells me to take care of myself
but He doesn't tell me how.
He tells me I am not alone.
I must not be afraid.
The wind moves gently, softly,
slowly; it lifts me up and whispers,
softly whispers,
blowing secrets through my hair.
I am not alone. I am not afraid.
The boat swims swiftly through the waters.
It lifts me up and I
am not afraid.
