Carpe Nocturnum

Seize the night, grab ahold
Clench your fists, don't let go
The night closes in all around you
Like a diamond-studded velvet cloak
Seize the night , take in Her essence
Welcome Her mighty presence
Rest in Her arms, Her face radiates
Moonglow and jasmine smoke
Seize the night, embrace the sight
Of dark blues and purple hues
Beautiful like a lover's kiss
Surrender yourself unto the bliss
Author's Notes: Inspired while driving with my kids during dusk in the summer.
