Words and Lines

I wonder often
what it is that I am,
What meaning, purpose holds
drifts the frontier of space
And holds me whole.
Words engulf me
they seem to be part,
parcel of this identity I've come to know
Somehow, somewhere
through my hearts engaged feelings
all these inner views dress my world
and there through the written flow
Stems forth my soul.
Is it an inner communication
that rides the process of thoughts
drafts the fomented will to express
these tides that flip and toss
cross the byways within
and there invoke my whole
into a line of ink and letters
pressed emotions that fill
The length of a page.
Words these creative sparks
that seem of their own accord
to thrive here within the mind
Holds one, captivated, embraced
upon the grandeur that they release
In long sways upon the paper.
Till ravished to the form, one sighs,
The expression of its impression
That here before one
Is laid the foundations of the mind.
