Miracle of Love

The world here today
casts out upon the fine Lilly pads of life
a bright brocade of dreams
that runs like stars upon a midnight screen
These dreams of the morrow.
Where words enticed by ear played
laid full the seasons cheer of joy
sang within my heart a melody unlike ever before
where she steps through my door
And lays my heart to rest.
That these past days have filled
spilled over the cups fine rim
in such an overabundance
that the observance of the mind, lost itself
where her eyes twinkled and there did share
The song of her soul.
I lay beside you, where visions of mine
there come and go
step side by side
the wants that here within rows
upon the still waters of emotion and soul
To paddle across the divides of mind
and know, yes truly know
Where her heart comes and whence will go.
That these hands yours and mine
Hold together a world divine
That shared embrace that yields upon time
the delicate frame of love sublime
where eyes deep encrusted to the need
Bleed the wants that fills each iris
Longs the textured walk within us
To the song, those chords the heart does play
revitalized before us here each day
To the miracle of love.
