Once grew

Age Group: Adult
That along this road
This journey of life
Love glimmers through
where the shadows oft times fill
To allow us for once
a small piece of the dream.
It seems nothing is easy
especially the twill of personalities
The wants, needs, desires
that here lights our fires
holds our souls captivated
upon emotions so strong
That save for its flavour
The world would be all wrong.
We drift, we souls
Upon and there through
these interconnecting bridges
those barriers of me and you
Trying to hold together that need
To be one where another does feed
that continues wholeness of being
The love that the heart is dealing.
Shattered many the tear falls
the broken promise, Dreams tossed
we all at some point wonder the value of it all
Question that want within, fear its call
But alas in life the journey too short
The need to be, filled
rallies our hope there anew
Upon those flowered fields
where love once grew.
