Where has it gone
This world that thrives upon the mighty dollar
enriched to the greed, the decisive need
to fill our pockets ever the more
Till swollen within our gluttony
We constipate our dreams.
The world revolves today it seems
where the corporate jargon holds the sway
that bitter lay
That finds the ransom of its soul
upon the cheating hearts that beat and go
across the dividing lines we hold
As once sacred to dignity.
I hear the tribulations of the world
weep her course across the board
where bitterness reigns by degree
The lives of humanity.
Peering across the never ending rush
lost in their ramblings, within crushed
People become the shards of broken souls
Commodities that's bought and sold.
