Once a long, long time ago
before the day wore its shuddering frown
The sun topped the highest peak
dressed the world renown
and placed upon a delicate head
A heavy golden crown.
Not yet born to the embrace
the little sweet childlike face
Knew the reason the day to come
to mark his place under the Sun
and there upon destiny to trace
To take the sins of the human race.
