An ode to my Lord Raven Wind

AN ODE TO MY LORD RAVEN WIND
A sonnet By Rev. Derwin Sherwood
Lord Raven Wind, you’ve taught me much I know,
You showed me beginnings of my new life,
You taught me to absorb good, let bad go,
And say atheme’, the ritual knife.
Old friend you who showed me the ways of old,
Old friend you showed me that which I could be.
You taught me to bare witness to the cold,
You are the best priest considered, by me.
As my teacher you knew, all that I ask,
As my teacher you will always be there.
Someday I, will make all the Neophytes laugh,
Till then and past, you are of all, most fair.
As you my lord, watch from the Summerland,
I will make you proud, again and again.
Author's Notes: This was written for my first, and greatest priest, Lord Raven Wind. He taught me much of what I know and helped me to lay a foundation for my religious beliefs. All of those who knew him will remember how great he was, and know his memory will live on forever.
