All the world away

When sleep bids fast the rest
The night engulfs, holds us there
prisoners to the frolic of images
passengers on the train of dreams.
Strange the messages that criss, cross
the opened door that creeks to the crack
The haunting whistle from afar.
Here where tales invade the mind
The childhood antics, the pantomime
The night rolls to each toss we turn
The visions dream, A saintly eye
The dark lonely stranger, the last goodbye
All walks here encounter fast the role
we each play out wherein we stroll.
Characters, mere actors at play
Here within the scenery's that lay
Dreams to brighten or ones that frighten
all the world away.
