It's a long walk this
where the dark shades of hedgerows
and withered hanging trees outline
The long path, dreary home.
Little drops that seem to wash
the skin to the chill of the air
rushes within and about me
Tossing the mind to and fro
In this haphazard encounter
that life spills out.
I've seen, No! Known
the long struggle that partakes inside
where a draining night ravishes the soul away
Upon some dark seed of form
To be lost forever, forever.
Haunted
A reflection at times stares back
across the shard mirrors of memories
where once an angel stood.
Its not that death holds any answer
nor do clues stream where graves lay thick
Only the fine razor edge clearly shows
The fine line, Cut deep, red the wine
That poured the essence of a dream
Away, away
where no fears entertain.
A long, lonely stroll
where the moon seems half way afraid
to shine her reflected beauty
Knowing to well I'd curse the moment
Drain her image away upon the muck filled holes
where at this moment my heart roams
as long and weary as the path
That once led to her.
