Rim of my brain

I know this dark space
This place
where all engages within me
Holds me like a captive
a prisoner to my thoughts and fears.
Dark the long avenues
that stretch for miles
files
that linger upon a bud of taste
and draws the dreams away.
Bitter the lamentations that flood
holds me in the prism of anguish
seeks to overcome, destroy
the world that once I knew
I drew
to and from
and believed.
Little imperfections that flawed
clawed
away every hope and dream
each want embedded deep
to the keep
of this my soul.
These phantoms of illusion
delusion
that would have me walk
talk
the desolate paths of life
worn
torn
all to the pain
that agony that festers
deep upon the rim of my brain.
