Once upon a day, there was a space you filled
Since you been gone that space is empty still
Old Valentine, you passed the bat on down to me
I’m taking on the next leg to see what can be seen

The new limits are whatever we can find
Stretching out to somewhere in time
When you found me I was so sad, I was dying in my song
You took me home, let me in and loved away the wrong
The Gods must’ve been laughing that night
You were still just a sparkle in my eye

All the disappointment those boys brought to you
Screams at me from the smile lines in all you do
Let’s take this new ride and travel beyond the sound
The world is our home, the universe our playground
Here comes the new train rolling down the track
All aboard because we ain’t coming back
Fire up your imagination, it’s whatever we want to find
Stretching all the way out to somewhere in time
Author's Notes: i was thinking about how i and my wife had created a new relationship and where it could go if we always worked on it, and i was also thinking about how who knows where our children will go, where our descendents will go and do, and what kind of things will be long after we are gone. todays majic is tomorrows normal.
