Fall
by Five Fold Kiss
Age Group: Adult
The quiet surrounds me all is still
The trees glisten from dew like sunset atop a hill.
Flaming orange, yellow and gold
Red of the maple; I can smell the cold.
Fall sets in; warm weather recedes.
No more butterflies birds, and honeybees.
All that's left are black crows and shadows.
Memories of how the cool water once did flow.
Heart wrenching cries of how it used to be.
When the summer was warm and I climbed the trees.
Why can't it be like it use to be
When we danced in the grass and jumped with glee?
Now the wind in chilling dreadful and cold
It makes me sob for the days of old.
If one instant I could go back and be happy again.
There would be so much I would change and wounds I would mend
There are so many words that would be left unsaid
So many things I wouldn't have to dread
I would live my life to the fullest fulfill my dreams
And now I wouldn't have to deal with the painful screams.
I hate the screams of pain inside
I wish there were someone in which I could confide.
Grant me one wish, this I plea when you think of sorrow think of me Because what meets the eye wont always be
Author's Notes: Not pagan related exactly, But I wrote this for a school project freshman year so I was about 13 and Ive always been proud I write allot and plan to post alot of poetry for my own personal enjoyment and the publics as well.
