A series of questions
by Five Fold Kiss
Age Group: Adult
Isn't it funny, fate?
How choices can seem so opaque.
How nothing is shining or clear,
until the sickening twist of time is here.
The pendulum swings,
We think we are free
But how much of my life
Was chosen by me?
How funny existence can be.
Do we get what we please?
Or are we subjected to destiny?
Does it matter how we feel, on subjects such as these?
Can we take control and fulfill all our needs?
Or is life planned out, and all we really need is just to be?
If this is the case, what does existence really mean?
Would it matter to you, does it matter to me?
I could contemplate these things, if but I haven't the time
because I must keep striving to make this life mine.
Author's Notes: Just some things I toss around in my head from time to time :) I’ve actually gotten a surprising amount of emails on my other poems, I want you to know, anyone can email me with any kind of feed back.. Even constructive criticism is welcome!
