Walking down paths I use to fear
Heart not racing, steady, not pacing
Finding comfort in gauze of darkness
Embraced by a gentle breeze
Making your eyes the night stars
You see me
Following close beside me
I know your present by rustling trees
Your voice, so soothing
It comforts me
I hear it when the crickets sing
Melody hums sweetly in my ear
Soothing me, calming me
Chasing away my fear.
Confident in my stride
for I know you are near
