Can it be, Me?
by Five Fold Kiss

Surprised, I realized all this time,
Ive been looking at myself!
That's Me in the mirror there.
I thought it was someone else
Features start to look familiar
But the face I do not recognize as mine
But alas it was me!
Hollow eyes to which I do not relate
Looking back at me
A lonely withered face
Dismal expression
Drab Complexion
How long have I been asleep?
How long have illusions surrounded me?
Where now, is my youth?
Quickly it is fleeing me!
What have my experiences taken?
What has life ripped from me?
What is it that I gain in return?
