Anxiety, Anxiety, Leave Me Be!

Heart's pounding, thoughts racing
Sweat pouring, nervous pacing
Leg shaking, head aching
Anxiety, anxiety, leave me be!
Hands twitching, eyes shifting
Thoughts to flee never quitting
Fight or flight, today or tonight
Anxiety, anxiety, leave me be!
To flee is to quit, and give in to whims
To remain is hell, and a battle of wits
Which shall I choose, am I born to lose?
Shall I give it all? I've got nothing to lose
Will I stand tall, in the face of it all?
Or will I crumple, no strength and no gall
Author's Notes: It's just a poem I wrote about my battles with social anxiety.
