Spring

As the Wheel of the year turns
The tall silent guardians once again
Don their delicate green filigree raiment,
Banishing the stark whiteness of Winter.
The small green brothers and sisters
Push their inquisitive noses up
Through the brown lushness of earth
To bask in the Lord’s brightness.
The Lady brings out her paintbox
And brushes each delicate petal
With colors to brighten the heart
And nurture the soul.
Our feathered brothers and sisters
Begin a symphony of song
That will last through the turning of the Wheel
And rival the greatest of old Masters.
Listen to the feathered ones
As they sing outside your window each morn,
Listen as Brother Wind adds his contribution
With every rustle of the leaves high above.
Listen with your heart and you will hear
The Mother singing the symphony of Spring
Voicing Her Love for all Her children…
Listen closely…can you hear Her?
