Whispers

In the wind I heard a voice
With out a name
Without a face
It whispered softly to me
And I longed in my heart to see
What was there
I cannot say
Only that I want
It again another day
And though the seasons go and change
Nothing will ever be the same
Because I realized all to late
That what I had was lost to fate
And so soon the tides did fall
You were no were at all
A lone tear trailed down my cheek
Your life here I could not keep
So it all goes to say
You were never really here to stay...
