Little Girl & Friend...Ode to the Crow

Little girl and friend, Ode to the Crow
Her camera started rolling, at the tiny age of one.
The memory so clear and dear, of walking in the Sun
That tiny ashen girl
Was following the chatter,
Past the whispering fool on the hill
To see what was the matter.
Past the wood and blood rose thicket
And the through the grass of gold,
Following that voice so clear
As the camera began to roll.
Finally, there he was.
Sitting deep in thorn,
Near the old white fence
That’s the moment she was born
In lowest of pitch he did so speak
Of things to come,
wisdom bled from his beak.
His feathers were so black
And she listened with meek intent
The ashen girl, age one
Was the one he chose to send
Back to the earthly plain
With the wisdom only they know,
She smiled in the warm Sun that day
As she left her friend, the Crow.
