Deliver Me

Deliver Me
Deliver me from blasphemy, deliver me from Fame
Deliver me from sentiment, deliver me from shame
Protect me from your riches, bring no monument to care
Stay my hand from anger, never promise life is fair
Have mersey on the morning, taste of wisdom to become
Make no judgement for the State, a plastic saviour come
Give me only silence, in a land beyond the pale
Give me simple passage, on a ship without a sail
Upon an alabaster throne, put no martyr to the test
conjure little shadows, laughter mocking from the west
Spare my vision from remembering, no devotion to the lost
Have no dealings with conjecture, counter of the cost
On a soft reclining pallet, give me milk and honey, neat
No extras in my pocket, keep the justice short and sweet
Leave a message with my service, I'll get back when I am done
I've an early morning wakeup, seeking passage to the sun
Make that monkey stop pretending, that its service is required
From jurisdiction of resentment, all the moments have retired
No regreats allowed without your skin, its nothing of concern
Put the matter of devotion, in its proper place within the urn
Have a pleasant journey, keep your promise to the sky
Thank your lucky stars, for no tear within your eye
Keep your mind pure, as required by decree
set sail on the crystal ship, across this amber sea
