At the Moment
Would I believe myself, imperious, a perfect soul, above the rest?
Not for even one second, for as hard as I try, I fail the test
If my life were perfect 99 percent, one is a number I must repent
No saint dwells within, not beneath this transient skin
Locked to the Earth by mortality, this is the voice of reality
Even though I carry this stain, on the path of light, life regain
There is a light of silver hue, it travels swift, between I and you
A deeper shade consumes the night, judge between, wrong and right
Ever must I stand the trial, the task is this, with every mile
When I cease to look within, then I have lost, and dark will win
