Harbor of Dreams

Harbor of Dreams
Cove, woven round about with colors of the dyeing night
The ship stands waiting, cargo of splendid secret souls
Have some care, some would twist the meaning, wrong for right
Out through tides of lashing solitude, moving past the sholes
Across this shining sea of glass, a dove swings about the sky
No wind whispers, in a doldrum, no need upon this barge
Far away, behind prison walls, a prophet ponders simply, WHY?
Sing a song of older days, when no masters were in charge
Climb the crows nest, cast a glance to islands of regret
The journey to mysteries, has no beginning, and no end
a star begins its cascade of light, the cup of sorrows upset
There is mercy to be found, in the weeping of your friend
Tomorrow finds us, even if we hide away, behind sightless eyes
Silver strands weave a web, round about the mask of pain
On the sheltered lee, there is no reason to think truth, may harbor lies
We will dance to songs of remembrance, when harbor home is seen again
