Butterfly Blue

Butterfly Blue
On a wind, that carries a scent of spring
There is a butterfly blue, on the wing
Fluttering with such grace and abandon
Flattering the sky, and the flowers it lands on
As it twists, and turns, making patterns so bold
Catching your sight, its beauty takes hold
Simple wonder that seems to have its own light
Casting away the long winter night
So it is with many things, that come along with spring
That gives us pause, and make our frozen heart to sing
