Breaking Cover
There is a soft shoulder, that runs across the sky
Dark black slander, perched on the IDES of my eye
Take your secret hollow of redemption, a dreamers lie
Keep the shackles of your desire, that I persist, not die
I have seen the truth of life, the "Humanity" of its kin
Words we use for cover, shroud of deception, to hide its sin
Stay your hand of mercy, with its power of decay
Leave my soul to ponder eternity, every moment in this day
I have tasted of the wind, the sea speaks with a screaming roar
mountain centered deep, bodies of believers, waiting on the shore
I crossed the valley, desert, brooding, singing a song of pain
Eyes cast against a field of shadows, waiting for healing rain
I know the power of persuasion, the soft whisper of deepest night
I know the sacred symbols, burned across the heavens, moving light
There came a beauty to the world, with a hand that offered calm
Another entered from the east, that spoke of healing balm
The answers to your questions are simple, but you mire them with deceit
The path to Nirvana , a road marked by broken, bleeding feet
Words you gather, on parchment made of skin, just the words of men
Look to the wild, the river in its course, the falls raging din
I will take my place, in a garden made from stone, but NOT alone
Gathered back to the source of life, there is no going home
I a feather in the wind, a drop of rain, soft breeze of spring
Watch the south, it holds a key, tomorrow, the center of this thing
