Mystik Garden

Darkness, at first, is all I see
As the night envelops me
On a journey to where my spirit is free
Moving away from the mundane world
Through the fog to a magickal place
my heart quickens and so does my pace
On my path to a sacred space
In the distance a melodic tune
Calling me closer to the sacred rune
On this night of the full moon
The glow, shining down so bright
Illuminating the trail in mystic light
Guiding the way for my soul to take flight
As I draw nearer
My vision grows clearer
Shadows dance and twist
In the smoke & clouds of mist
Brightened now by firelight
Burning ahead to mark the site.
Tonight we gather at midnight
Making my way, feeling the power
Growing stronger near the magickal hour.
As I look up to the sky
The full silver moon is riding high
I open my mind and step inside
To a magickal wonderland, enough to astound
Moonbeams through the trees shining down
Casting a circle upon the ground
Flowers & herbs scent it all around
Natures creatures draw close, free and unbound
A near by stream, how tranquil the sound
A realm of enchantments is what I have found
A sacred space full of beauty abounds
The Mystic Garden is all around
The evening air grows crisp & clear.
There is nothing here to hide or fear
With our hearts we listen and hear
A part of our selves, we hold it near.
The old religion that is so dear.
Now the ritual has begun.
In perfect trust and perfect love
Time for us to have some fun.
Soon our sacred work will be done
Honoring the Lady and the Lord
For the blessings bestowed upon our world
We thank them for their presence in our lives
Performing the acts of the ancient rites
In love, laugher and healing light.
On this beautiful bewitching night.
My family that I have found
This group that has met spellbound
Release the power that we have wound
To be gone upon it’s merry way
Off and into the winds of change
With thanks and respect in all we say
& for new beginnings another day
We are all considered one
With spirit, elements, earth and sun
Never have or will our Gods shun
You may shock your self, but them never stun
Mistakes can always be forgiven or undone
Any webs of errors you may have spun
Or problems from which you've run
With love & light can be overcome
In the air magick doth loom
The energy made us all but swoon
We then relax with cake and ale
With gratitude to the energies we hail
Visit with each other and hear magickal tales
We ground ourselves back to the earthly plane
Knowing we'll return to convene again
to a time without a time, a place without a place,
a magickal realm of peace and grace.
Sharing our magicks & witchery
Never forgetting our history
Our studies, our crafts & Diety
Revealing to us the mysteries
As taught to us from above
& so below - to never hate & to live in love
So the burning times do not repeat
Never again the noose or the pyre’s heat
Festivities end & the ritual is complete,
We all bid farewell & then retreat
Merry we do part, as merry we meet
Blessed Be !
