Witch

When darkness closes in,
the kind I always dread,
when voices scream and rant
an endless cry inside my head,
when pain becomes too much
and shadows black as pitch,
I call upon Your name
and You remind that I'm a witch.
Endless power, You say,
is there within my reach.
Find the stillness inside,
and there I'll be to teach.
You are not alone,
for always will I be
inside that secret place
known only to you and Me.
Ground yourself in earth,
clarify with air,
sear the rage with fire
and water will take the cares.
Then find My spirit joined
with the deepest part of yours
and then the power that always was
will be there forevermore.
