Visiting the Earth
by Honeycomb
Age Group: Adult
Visiting the Earth,
gravity her embrace
touches us everywhere,
within as without;
Knowing the Green Man for her lover,
touching her with root and stem,
teasing her gently with tickling branches,
dropping leaves to her for love letters;
I on her surface, supported, embraced,
held out and drawn in,
collect the feel of her, play with it,
return it.
She holds me against her soft warm brown skin.
I kiss her
whose body I am wearing
and will return.
