The Path of Old

Age Group: Adult
From days of old
when lore was spun
People with faith
had just begun
To follow a path
so natural and pure
Of elements eternal
of elements that cure
For those who were searching
for that they could not say
This path they found and journeyed
was found to be the way
A path which was hidden
for eras and eras
By those who did not understand it
nor even cared to dare
To read the words which were written
hidden in books upon the shelves
Buried beneath the dust and cobwebs
they never even sought
The message the Scholars had written
those the chosen few
Who walked the path of old
the ones who truly knew
The purpose of the Magik
of herb and spell and toil
The love of Goddess eternal
of Earth and Sea and Soil.
