I close my eyes and I can see you
I want to reach out to you
and hold you close
your emotion rolls into me
in waves of sadness, desperation
I feel your longing, your confusion
the hopeless questions
that find no answers
you seem to be reaching to me
blindly and unaware
that I am in a different realm
and cannot get to you
but can you feel me>
I am with you
I can only lend the comfort of a thought
I can only embrace you
and hold your soul close to mine
and while I cannot touch you
you will know that I am there
and that I love you
beyond time and reason
that we will get through this journey
and find our peace once more
you are my love of my soul
my spirit companion
you are my infinity
a lost love
Author's Notes: I was reading an old letter and found these words. They reached out and stabbed my heart. But I wanted to feel the pain of her words another time. I became all verlklempt when I was realizing how she was trying her best to reach out to me in my unrealized state of ADD. : (
Sometimes I wish that I could relive a day like Bill Murray did in "Ground Hog Day" until Ms Mcdowell quits slapping him and he ends up waking up with her...Bill has finally found love. Sometime, I ocassionally believe in a happy ending and smile....or am I just fooling myself that we can actually live "happily ever after"?
I saw a good movie today about young girls growing up and the sadness of unrequited love from girls and boys. Also there is a pagan girl that marries the crazy but creative father so that she can be his muse. They, however have a happy ending finding love again. :)
I forget the name except that it had castle in the title as this dysfunctional family lives in old English castle on the south coast.
How often does craziness run in a family or at least being very eccentric? I think the Enlish accept folks that are different much more so than in these conforming "red states" (don't get me started) .
