Wings of Light

Dancing on these wings of light,
I glanced to see you in the pale moonlight.
Your hair was flowing just past your shoulders;
although it was dark, it almost looked golden.
The closer I came, the more I could see, from
your deep dark hair, to your eyes like the sea.
Your shoulders are wide, your legs are long, and
your voice, it echoes like a sweet summer's song.
I've seen your face so many times; I've studied
every feature and traced every line.
At night I dance with you in my dreams. Every
morning you are the first thing I see.
I can feel your touch, your tender embrace, the
warmth of your kiss upon my face.
How can it be you're just a dream in the dark?
When will you come to fill this empty space in my
heart?
