Once, I sat upon a wall.
Once, I thought I could do it all.
Once, I had a vivid dream.
Once, I walked though a cool, clear stream.
Once, I believed in you and me.
Once, I thought I was truely free.
Once, I believed in a love that was true.
Once, I thought I saw this in you.
Once, I thought that you were mine.
Once, I felt so completely blind.
Once, I lived inside my dreams.
Now, I live a life that's free.
Now, I sit upon that wall.
Now, I truely have it all.
Now, I make my dreams come true.
Now, I believe in me, not you.

Author's Notes: When I realized that the end was only the beginning of something better, I wrote this. It was a long time ago but it still rings true for me today. When I read this now from time to time it reminds me that when things are at thier worst if we look inside ourselves we can find the strength to make it through.
