Pagan Prayers- My Next Path

Pagan Prayers- “My Next Path”
My body is earthen- like, broken in the light.
My blood trickles like water- I am found in the dark.
Summerland take the air of my breath and
In the fire of my spirit- I go with an open heart.
Waves of the Goddess, Rays of the God-
I have lived by the chalice and the rod.
I have fought by the disk and the sword
Taken by Death’s kiss- I walk through another door.
Nothing ever lasts- this is my next Path.
Lord and Lady, I shall return unto Thee.
So Mote It Be...
Author's Notes: I had written this when I had started thinking about some of my ancestors (most of whom originated from Northern Europe- or there abouts) . I'll admit, I have a very slight Catholic influence (even though I was devout for just three years) when I write like this, but- still, I hope that the writing is worth the read. ;-)
