A Wiccan Dance

Age Group: Adult
Her feet slide softly over the forest floor, her hands behind her back. She lifts her head to the trees, pointing her chin to the night sky. A gentle breeze touches her cheeks making her blush. She reaches out her hands as if taking the hands of her dance partner. The trees rustle in the breeze, as if they are the partners and begin to dance. The leaves on the forest floor swirl around her, circling her like she is in the eye of a storm. her body moves to the sound of the trees in the wind. The stars in the sky also become her dance partner, moving as she moves. Her body leaping off the ground, twirling in the air, her arms moving rhythmically to the sounds of the drum - Wait there are no drums, that is the beating of her heart. As her dancing becomes stronger and faster her heart beats louder. The leaves swirl around and around, the stars begin to blur as her eyes roll up. Faster and faster she dances, but soon the wind slows down, the leaves glide to the ground. The trees stop moving and her movements slow down, her heart beat softens and the stars are clear. The Wiccan stops, her feet feeling the coolness of the forest floor, her breathing is fast but relaxed. As she takes in the beauty of the forest, with a slow graceful nod of her head, a smile and a whisper of Blessed Be to the Goddess and the God for the dance.
