Birth of the Phoenix

Age Group: Adult
Not understanding the mysteries of the universe.
Standing in the center of the earth.
Orange, yellow and blue flames of fire.
Flowing coolness of water.
My body feels the gentle wind.
Connecting to the elements as spirit.
Rising, soaring as spirit.
Stretching, reaching out to be part of the universe
Listening to the whispers of the wind.
A power surging through me, the power of the earth.
Flowing turns into rushing water.
Rising higher, brighter burning fire.
Temperatures rising, my body feels like fire
Energy fills my spirit
Rushing turns to oceans water
Trying to embrace the universe
Rumbling and tumbling, cracking earth.
No longer gentle or whispering, attention being demanded by the wind
Almost yelling, calling to me the strength of the wind.
My body beads of sweat, closing in on me circled by fire.
Trying to hold itself together, splitting down the middle the earth
Like fingers, beams of light bursting through my spirit
Light so incredibly bright, shooting out to the universe.
Ocean turning, waves rise like a wall of water.
Crashing, foam spouting into the air like a whale releasing water.
Pulling at my body, tossing me through the wind
Stars are seen, so sings the universe.
Not burning in the flames of the fire.
Moving towards the flames to find me, my spirit
Almost out of control spinning earth
This is not the end of the earth.
Ocean boiling but no hot water
It is moving through the flames, my spirit
My body settles in the swirling wind
Moving around like a tornado of fire.
Growing larger, expanding the universe
I give myself to the universe, splashing water.
Quaking earth, howling wind.
Roaring fire, a Phoenix is born, spreading wings of my soaring spirit.
