I'm dragging myself down to a place
where water bugs and mildew have
replaced southern magnolias and pale
gardenias with the stench of squat
toilets and death. Open your eyes
America, this is new age racism, where
one barefoot black woman landscapes
mourning white people dressed in their
Sunday best.
Somedays all I want to be is a missing
person.
