Air, Fire, Earth, and Water
by Venus of the Earth
Age Group: Adult
The wispy Air, our hair blown back,
And whips at us with shelter lack.
A mighty gust earns traveler's ire,
And feeds our friend, the heated Fire.
I feel the flames upon my hands,
I see the glass made from the sands.
I love the way it dances round,
As the flames burn upon the Ground.
The Grounds of Earth do shake and quake,
Beneath the Sun its clay does bake.
The Boulders tell of times long past,
And of Water from Canyon cast.
The rush of Water does now soothe,
The mighty Boulder it does smooth.
The clean sound of bubbling Brook,
Towards the Ocean we love to look.
These things we cannot live without,
But for you I would without doubt.
To win your heart I would contend,
Without these things, know I would fend.
Author's Notes: Alright, my boyfriend, who's a Hellenic Pagan, wrote it, but I asked him if I could post it because I thought that it was really sweet.
