I am Me
by Venus of the Earth
Age Group: Adult
The great bull of strength and determination
Protects and guides me with his foster mother, Venus.
The Lord and Lady showed me the path,
And with my Taurus mind, I create my art:
My writing, my drawing, my music, and my acting.
With Venus’s love and Taurus’s strength,
I show my mind to the world.
I raise my head in honor of the sun and moon.
I sing my praises to the mother Goddess of Earth;
I write my poems to her lover the God of the Sky.
Nature’s parents. My parents.
Creators of life,
Short-lived and everlasting.
I feel the beauty of the world in the wind.
I forget life’s troubles when surrounded by such power.
I am a child of the elements.
A slow burning candle, a great calm river,
A summer night’s breeze, and a peaceful grassland.
I am different, but that’s what I like.
If I were the same, I wouldn’t be me.
If you don’t like me that’s your problem.
As a stubborn Taurus, I will not change.
I know who I am.
I am me.
