Follow me into the dark

Take my hand, my wounded knight,
Through the path of blinding fright,
Around the bend now drawing nigh,
Where the Lady holds Her lantern high,
Follow me into the dark.
No tides of tears shall drag you under,
No cyclone tear your mind asunder,
Shelter in my arms, till they abate,
Arm in Arm through Hell's black Gate,
And follow me into the dark.
Across the lake of fire I'd dance,
So you cross in soothing trance,
Swords or thorns shall blind you not,
Nor time shall slay your beauty rot,
When demons hiss an evil sigh,
Behold, She holds Her lantern high,
I'll walk you, safely, through the dark.
Should you stay on earth-bound shores,
Our hands to touch for never more,
I shall not cry--no single tear,
Or smash our shared and sacred mirror,
I'll smile, alone, into the dark
And through the dead and blackened trees,
The Morrigan whisper on the breeze,
"Dear Mother, take me now, " I'll cry,
"It is my choice for now to die,
"For I have known LOVE!"
And walk eternal paths alone,
Behind the Lady's light as shown,
Walk your memory through the dark.
More time to see and love and grow,
behind the Lady's lantern glow,
We're only passing through the dark.
