Living Dream

by Aiden MacAllister

Age Group: Adult

The morning breath of the Mother rises,
In the thinning hazy moist mist,
As it lifts upwards from her bossom,
Drifting slowly toward Father sun.

The warming rays gently carress's,
While the dormat eyes of sleep awaken,
Warm blood within the veins begin to move,
Pushing away the cold clamor of night's wing.

While still within my own dream state,
My family friends warriors clansmen,
One by one emerge from their own beds,
Stepping forth into the day of still freedom.

Step forth and be proud of your linage,
Let not one go hungrary helpless or alone,
By thy own strength each is protected,
By bow sword and honour of word.

Today is the first of our life,
As we wake with the breath of Mother,
Strength of warmth from our Father,
Cunning knowledge dreamed thru ages by.

A yearning of reckoning is coming,
To those who have set their hand,
Against our backs with might of sword,
And chains heavy in steel.

Knowledge now is but the strongest tool,
As we come full circle with yester year,
Using all that ever was, will be and is yet to come,
Our voices will be heard as thunder against the cliffs.

Yea yea ole Mother of love and caring,
Hear us as we sing in praise and song,
The time is coming for Us once again,
To stand with one another,

Brothers and sisters linked together,
No power stronger will break the bond,
Of the yearning of yester year,
Rejoice rejoice people of the light.

What was once and now is gone,
Comes again as the circle unites,
Unity of all thy people,
Stands thy ground one and all.

Blessings blessings to each of thee,

Aiden MacAllister
