A Dream

I fell to sleep last night
And dreamt in colors vivid, bright
Yellow and orange, blue and red
Cascaded from inside my head
From the fount the faeries fed
And into it the martyrs bled
I soon met the Queen of the Dead
Who took me by the hand and led
me somewhere.
I woke and rubbed my eyes out well
Found waking life was too pastel.
Author's Notes: Just a simple something I wrote after I had a dream one night.
