Still Looking

At first, I was lost
and afraid of being alone
Then you entered my life
and I felt right at home
You understood me better
then anyone ever could
And if I could find you
I tell you, I would
But as I continue to search
I begin to lose hope
Are you really out there?
Please give me hope
Author's Notes: Another one of my simple poems. This was basically a poem about finding that special someone. Your Soul Mate.
After a while I went back and wrote a response to it:
I found the one
I've been searching for
You've been there all along
Why didn't I see it before
I was lost
and afraid of being along
You gave me your love
and I was home
